Giving back to and being an active member of the community has always been at the core of CMC's philosophy. Over the years CMC has had the privilege of being a sponsor in many different arenas and for a number of causes.
Wide Bay Group Training Annual Awards Night
The annual Wide Bay Group Training awards night is held to formally recognize the achievements of the best WBGT trainees and apprentices. The dinner and presentation is a tradition that dates back some two decades and is attended by around 350 people. CMC is proud to be a sponsor of this annual event and support the recruitment, employment and development of apprentices and trainees.
St Margaret's Rowing Support Group
St Margaret's Anglican Girls School, located in Ascot, is an independent school for day students and boarders with 900 students from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. CMC provides sponsorship to St Margaret's Rowers, with the First Eight winning the Head of the River in 2009.
Regional Science & Engineering Challenge with University of Southern Queensland
Since its inception in 2006 students from the Toowoomba, Maryborough and Hervey Bay high schools have had the opportunity to be involved in the Regional Science & Engineering Challenge. The event has been very successful and gives the students an insight into area's of Science, Engineering and Mathematics and the applications of these real life situations. Read More.
CMC Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce Ball
CMC have been the major sponsor for the Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce Ball since 2006 which is attended by some of Hervey Bay's most active business operators.
Wallaroos Ladies Hockey Team
The Wallaroos Ladies Hockey Team play in the Fraser Coast District Competition. CMC commenced sponsorship of the team in 2009 with the ladies reaching the semi-finals. We wish them the best of luck in the 2010 season.
